Dealing with diabetes can be very difficult especially if you are not educated on all aspects of the disease. However, if you master the diet of diabetes you will achieve good health. Many doctors have written books on such diets; one of these authors being Richard K. Bernstein, M.D. The title of his book is "The Diabetes Diet: Dr. Bernstein's Low Carbohydrate Solution." It focuses on trying to keep your insulin levels stable to maintain the optimal blood sugar value. The goal of a diabetes diet is to maintain a healthy body weight and maintain a normal blood glucose level.
